1971 Mercury Cougar
1971 Mercury Cougar. Less than 60K original miles. 351 Cleveland w/ electronic ignition conversion. Fires first flick. Car originally shipped up from California by a garage in Gander, where it was then purchased by my mother-in-law for my father-in-law for Christmas in 2003. Car stored indoors every September and taken out again in late May. Car spent the entirety of 2012 though 2018 in storage in the old Templeton Academy in Meadows, across the bay from Corner Brook.
I had the car shipped over to Mount Pearl in September 2018 via Harvey Auto Carriers and I have been the custodian of this car for my mother-in-law since. Car was stored in heated storage this past winter (September - May) in Portugal Cove
After sitting in storage for 6 years, I performed the following (required) work on the car.
- New gas tank.
- New sending unit.
- New fuel pump.
- New fuel line from pump to carb.
- New fuel filter.
- Complete carburetor rebuild (Autolite 2100).
- New valve cover gaskets.
No trades. Price is non-negotiable. Registration just renewed and valid for another year. As is, where is. Needs nothing, drive it away.
