Medical secretaries perform clerical duties in a health professional's office. Their work is crucial to the functioning of any facility that provides patient care. The Medical Secretary will be responsible for numerous administrative tasks in the front of the office, including many patient-facing responsibilities. Therefore, we’re looking for a professional with excellent customer service skills and a desire to help patients receive the care they need. Required skills include: MCP billing, medical transcription, Meditec, Electronic Medical Records and bookkeeping.REQUIREMENTS • MCP Billing experience• Experience with fast-paced environment • Pleasant personality, Flexibility • Professional attitude/appearance • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks • High School degree: additional certification in office management is a plus (AEC/DEP or skilled trade certificate) • At least 3 years experience in a medical officeResponsibilities/Duties• Schedule and confirm appointments • Record and relay information• Perform clerical duties, such as filing, sorting, ordering supplies and distributing mail. • Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messagesHours and Remuneration: Full time.
