wanted Newfoundland 12 oz Double Dot Pepsi Bottle Browning Harvey Ltd St.
John’s NFLD
Pepsi has been in Newfoundland longer than the island has been a part of
Canada.
John Patten's grandfather went to New York to sign the franchise agreement
back in 1944, and the family continues to operate the Browning Harvey business
based in St. John's.
"The Harveys always made the soda crackers on Water Street East, and the
Brownings made the fancy biscuits on Water Street West, so when they merged in
1931, we moved up to Water Street West, up on Mill Road. From that point, I
guess we moved from making biscuits, to table syrup, to soft drinks," said the
company's president.

Brookfield Dairy Company Ltd.
Early in 1926 R.B. MacLennan, a Nova Scotia businessman and owner and operator
of Brookfield Creamery Limited of Truro made arrangements with T. McMurdo
Company Ltd to sell his products exclusively through their drug store. To
achieve this goal, ice cream was shipped by truck from Truro to Halifax and
then to St. John’s by steamer and in cold storage. In June of 1926 MacLennan
returned to St. John’s in order to establish a company to manufacture
Brookfield ice cream.
In 1946 the company expanded into Corner Brook and later into Grand Falls.
Between 1988 and 1995, Brookfield was part of a joint venture with Scotsburn,
Nova Scotia and in 1995, Scotsburn acquired the remaining interest of
Brookfield.

Joey Smallwood - the father of confederation.
Just a few weeks ago this province marked it's 70th anniversary as part of the
Canadian confederation.
These were handed out personally by Joey himself. Photos are priced
individually. Have to see 3D effect in person, does not show on computer.
$25 Limited Edition 1960's Vintage Joey Smallwood Holographic 3D Photo from
the 1960's Framed 8X10
$35 Limited Edition 1960's Vintage Joey Smallwood Holographic 3D Photo from
the 1960's Framed 10X13 1/2 - This is the harder one to find.
These are NOT standard photos but Holographic 3D Type photos that are
expensive to reproduce. When you look in the photos, you see real depth to Joey
in the front compared to other items in the back. If you move side to side, you
see different angles of the view. Much like the Classic ViewMaster 3D Viewers
kids used in the 1980's. These are original 1960's photos and not reproductions.
These are getting very hard to find today and your lucky to see a few for sale
each year.
Price is firm
