Mireille Soucie is a blue water-proven sailboat which was sailed solo across
the Atlantic several times. She has spent her last several years as a sail
training vessel in Long Pond. All of her equipment is in good working order,
including a 9.9hp Nissaan outboard motor with electric start. She comes with a
good furling headsail and main with 3 reefing points. Additionally, there is an
asymmetrical spinnaker complete with a fixed bowsprit welded to the anchor
roller to make downwind sailing easy and fun. The sale of the vessel comes
complete with all the equipment necessary to sail away from the dock and have
an enjoyable time. At 28ft, and with an outboard motor, this vessel is perfect
for someone relatively new to sailing as she is exceptionally easy to maneuver,
and with the three reefing points, sails comfortably and safely in windspeeds
up to 40 knots - An exceptionally great feature for sailing in Newfoundland.
