5lb bag of caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) Probably the best varnish and oil paint stripper you can have. Just add the granules to water depending on how much and how strong you want it and either paint on or immerse object for a few minutes. Usually 1-2 cups per gal of water. Wash off. Great for degreasing, and also can be used as drain cleaner. $10 for 5lbs. Call /text for quickest response.
