Rockcliffe Children's Centre is a well established licensed childcare centre
located in the west end of St. John's. We care for children ages 18 months to
12 years of age and are currently hiring Level 1 - 4 Early Childhood Educators
as well as Trainee positions who are willing to upgrade. Applicants must
possess a genuine passion for working with children, must be enthusiastic,
reliable, and have excellent communication skills. Applicants must also be able
to create and maintain a successful learning environment and demonstrate
compassion, mindfulness and empathy when interacting with children.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Develop and implement childcare programs based on our centre philosophy,
promoting the physical, emotional, cognitive and social development of children.
•Lead activities through storytelling, teaching songs and providing
opportunities for creative expression through art, dramatic play, music and
physical activity.
•Utilize positive guidance techniques.
•Plan for and maintain both indoor and outdoor environments that ensure the
health, security and well being of children.
•Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children through daily written
and visual observations. and discuss progress or problems with supervisors,
parents and other staff members when required.
•Communicate effectively with co-workers as well as parents with the goal of
ensuring that each child reaches their potential
Qualifications
•AECENL Certification (Trainee to Level 4) with the willingness to upgrade to
meet government requirements (Trainee Level)
•Current Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
•Current Emergency Level First Aid
•Up to date Immunization Record
•Experience is an asset

Looking for a DEPENDABLE person to come to our home to care for our 3 boys
(ages11, 9, 7) for 3 weeks in August from August 8 - 26 Monday to Friday from
7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Boys are no trouble and can probably take care of
themselves most of each day but want an adult around to supervise and keep them
occupied. Housekeeping duties (meal preparation, dishes, laundry, making beds,
etc) expected as part of your daily routine. Emergency First Aid/CPR
certification preferred. Preference given to someone with Early Childhood
Education training. References required. Must have own transportation. Call or

Seeking a Home Therapist to provide hands-on skills development and behavior
intervention to our 5 year old with Autism.Paid training will be provided if
needed. The home therapist will work in a private home setting as part of a
therapy team, under the supervision and direction of a trained Senior
Therapist. Applicants should have two years post-secondary education in
Psychology or related field,however individuals with relevant work experience
would be considered.Coursework in Autism Spectrum Disorder,developmental
psychology or behavior analysis or experience with developmental delays or
behavioral issues would be definite assets. Must be Cat and dog friendly. This
position is for 15 hours a week after school with pay scale $15.55 to $
17.13/hr (+4 % vacation pay) based on education and experience.
MUST be willing to travel to the Holyrood area. Serious inquires only please.
We are pretty flexible and easy going family. A 6-12 month commitment would be
a asset but not necessary.
