Hardback in blue cloth. They are well-bound and hand-stitched to last. Gilt titles to front and spine and the coat of arms of Newfoundland / Labrador is stamped to the front.

Both Volumes are signed on the first front end page by J. R. Smallwood who brought Newfoundland into the Canadian Confederation, was the first premier of the province, and remained in that office for 22 years.

Clean unmarked pages. Both have short gift inscription written on inside front end page.
