HELP WANTED: Respite Worker for ASD Child
Looking for a respite worker who has experience with children on the autism spectrum.
Client is an 11 year old, non-verbal boy. Very happy, loves car washes, cars, toys, eating yummy food (will try just about anything), hugs, nature walks, and music.
Assisting with daily after school activities and provide cognitive, social and/or emotional support to the client.
Current hours are 15 a week but will likely become more soon. If more hours do not work for you, you can work what you can. Very flexible. Current schedule is about 3 hours a day after school from 2:30/3:00 until 5:30/6:00. However you can work more or less after school. I will discuss more in detail upon reply.
As this is provided by Eastern Health, base rate is $15.50/hour.
Must be able to drive.
Behavioural programs currently in place and need help in continuing them.
Preferred if you can lift up to 100 lbs or more.
