Personal Care Attendant/Home Care

WANTED: Seeking a compassionate and patient lady to care for a young lady with Autism, behavioural problems with global delay and poor eyesight.
Part-time Permanent Position, Pay Rate: $17.13 hourly, plus 4% Vacation Pay,
Skills required: provide personal care, administer medications, meal preparation, household duties (replacing bed linens, wash clothes, vacuum and mop floors, wash dishes, dust furniture, etc.), assist client with walking and stabilization. accompany client on community access.
The successful appllicant must possess a good knowledge and understanding of Autism with training in behavioural issues.
First Aid, CPR, CPI,
Current letter of conduct
Current letter of Vulnerability check
Must have 12 months or more experience and college training.
Ability to treat and care for client and their property with dignity and respect.
Ability to communicate with a non-verbal client in a friendly and congenial manner.
Ensure the client is safe at night and sleeping comfortably.
Must have ability to lift, push or pull 25 pounds
Ability to bend twist, stoop, kneel and reach
Ability to work shift work.
Ability to speak, read and write English.
Must be responsible, mature, and trustworthy.
Three (3) written references, before starting work are mandatory.
