We are looking for Host Families, in the St. John's, Mount Pearl and Paradise
areas, for high school students who will attend the nearby schools. Do you have
the room and the goodwill to host for NISEP, the premier Home-stay
international student program? We recruit students to study here for 3 - 5
months or the full 10 month school year, for English Immersion education. We
have students from many countries, (Mexico, Brazil, Holland, China, Turkey,
Spain, Denmark, Switzerland, Korea, Austria & Germany). NISEP has been hosting
students for many years and we are proud of our successes. This is an amazing
experience and the monthly income is a bonus! The students become members of
the family, much like a visiting niece or nephew. Our host families are
interviewed and screened, including background screening by the RNC. This is a
great opportunity for your family to learn the culture and other interesting
things about other countries. These children will become forever friends of
your families.They already have good English language skills and they come here
to increase their fluency and to experience our culture. We pay a tax-free
allowance of $700.00 monthly per student to our Volunteer families for students
who attend public schools. The students will provide their own school supplies,
clothing, pocket money, etc., and transportation to school is via school buses.
We maintain the custodianship of the students and our coordinators monitor
their progress. We are presently matching families with students, so call or
