I believe it test things like Resistance of coils, frequencies, temperature, duty cycle & dwell, etc. It's like a very expensive & advanced multi-meter that's especially designed to check and analyze car electrical systems & engines. You can also use it as a multi-meter to check voltages and current around your home, garage or work.
