journey person truck/trailer mechanic required

Key Responsibilities:

Making repairs to fleet vehicles, including (but not limited to) repairing diesel engines, alignments, suspension, hydraulics, transmissions and electrical systems
Diagnosing failures of vehicles and disassembling, repairing and reassembly parts as necessary
Performing routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery
Inspecting brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other vital parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition
Inspecting, repairing and maintaining refrigeration systems
Filling out and submitting all required documents in an accurate and timely manner
Help to maintain a safe working environment
Requirements:

Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Red Seal Truck and Transport License preferred
Hydraulics experience/certifications considered an asset
Knowledge of truck and equipment safety
Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures
experience in jaltest diagnostic equipment would be considered a great asset
