Historic Hearn House. Built in 1940, was a Boarding House back in the day. I am applying for Heritage NL status, and a grant to do more outside work, if approved they would contribute towards new windows and siding. Photos include one when the house was built. 6 bedrooms, one fully renovated bathroom this summer (back to the studs): insulation, window, gyproc ceiling and walls, underlay and flooring, shower, toilet and sink. All water and sewer lines replaced. 4 bedrooms with walk-in closets upstairs. Could put another room in the attic. Bunk bed under the upstairs hall window that has storage underneath. On Main floor original hardwood flooring in foyer and updated hardwood in the living room. The original sidelights and transom windows are still there inside a porch that was built on later. Dining room has the original built in china cabinet. Large kitchen, original cupboards and countertop, brick chimney that was connected to an kitchen oil stove. Original wooden medicine cabinet. 2 bedrooms on main floor could be converted into a second bathroom/laundry, and an office or playroom for the other. New electrical upgrade and connected to NLHydro this summer. Town water and sewer. 3 lots of surveyed land. Long concrete walkway with stairs down to the street. Wooded lot with rose trees and large snowball tree. Area cleared for vegetable garden. Original concrete well adjacent to the garden, has a small shed for cover, needs work. Old shed needs foundation work. House has Concrete foundation. New shingles, eave boards this spring. Chimney has been repaired. Old back addition removed last fall. White vinyl siding.
