Over the past few months I've been restoring this old lathe. It is the first
piece of equipment in a repair shop I'm intending to build from salvaged tools
& materials. I suspect that given the current situation there will probably be
a lot of spring cleaning & reorganizing done & I'm hoping it will unearth some
old tools that people may be hanging on to that they may not have a use for,
but feel that they are too good to throw away. i am interested in anything &
everything that may be useful even rusted & broken equipment such as lathe &
milling machine accessories, large drill bits, measuring & layout tools, vices,
cabinets etc. I am also in the process of building a small foundry for aluminum
brass & copper & would be interested in anything related to metal casting such
as fire bricks, refactory, old welding leathers, paving stones & an old metal
garden shed, which given the snow we had this winter I'm guessing there are a
few around that probably collapsed & that someone may be looking to get rid of.
if you think you have something that could help me out, i would greatly
